Staffordshire Cycling Festival 2014

Spread across 2 days and 2 venues (Stafford Town Centre and Shugborough). The Staffordshire Cycling Festival is a 2 wheeled celebration of the sport and the county on 1st & 2nd August.

Friday Evening sees entertainment start at 4.30pm including Rollapaluza and the Extreme Mountain Bike Show before the professionals race around the town centre to bring the curtain down on day 1 of the festival.

The second day of the festival sees riders of all ages and abilities kick the day of by venturing out into Staffordshire for 2 ‘Sportive’ rides that are 35 and 70 miles respectively. As those riders begin to return to Shugborough around lunchtime, a whole host of other activities will spring up with retail, food, drink and outdoor activities to keep you entertained until the racing begins.

Last entry to Shugborough for vehicles is at 5pm.



Into Staffordshire 35 Mile Ride

Saturday 2nd August is your chance to ride in the wheel tracks of the pros. The 35 mile ride is designed for those who are newer to the sport or just want a shorter and gentler ride.

For those wanting something a little more challenging on 2nd August, our 70 mile sportive takes in quiet roads over a varied terrain including Cannock Chase, the Dove Valley and the Needwood Forest.

Elite racing returns to the streets of Stafford for the 5th year on Friday 1st August. The entertainment begins from 4.30pm and the racing kicks off at 6.45

After a successful first year, the Shugborough Kermesse returns on Saturday 2nd August and this time the Elite Women get their chance to take on this fast but long circuit.
