Sandon Century 2026
The Last Big Ride of Summer
Summer does not end all at once.
The darkness creeps in.
The evenings get shorter.
Saddle time is borrowed from the dusk.
But the legs are still there.
The roads are still good.
And there is time for one more big day.
On Sunday 20 September, let’s get together for the PAU x RideStaffs Sandon Century.
A proper end-of-summer ride across Staffordshire.
Not a race.
Not a grind.
Not a day for proving anything to anyone.
Just a big, shared ride on good roads, with good people, before the season turns.
We have our classic 100km road challenge and a brand new 70km road option. So, whether you’re looking to finish the season with one last 100km ride, or you conquered the 50km Made of Stone route and are ready to take the next step, there’s a distance waiting for you.
Come as your are
Come on your own.
Come with your club.
Come with the WhatsApp group that has been talking about doing something like this since spring.
You all count. We made this for you.
You might be solo at the start, but you’ll find a wheel, a group, a pace to match your own. Clubs will roll out in full colours. Social groups will start together, scatter somewhere after the first rise, and reunite later to tell tales of adventure, punctures and cake.
That’s what it’s about.
This is for the solo rider who wants one more target.
For the club that wants something bigger than the club run.
For the Sunday group, shop ride, work crew, cafe bunch, parents’ ride, mates’ ride, and anyone who needs a nudge to get something in the diary.
Bring the people you ride with.
Or come and find them on the road.
Why Staffordshire?
Because these roads are worth riding.
Rolling lanes. Open views. Fast sections. Little rises. Quiet corners. The odd drag to keep everyone honest.
Not flat.
Not brutal.
Just right for a big late-summer ride.
The Sandon Century is built to feel like a proper day out.
Enough distance to matter.
Enough support to relax into it.
An atmosphere to make memories.
Our Target: 1,000 Riders
That is the challenge.
Not because a number makes a ride better.
Because the people do.
A thousand riders changes the feeling of a day.
The start feels alive.
The roads feel shared.
The feed stations hum.
The clubs notice each other.
The solo riders find company.
The photographs tell the story.
A moment to sum up your year in the saddle.
One last big ride of summer.
The PAU x RideStaffs Sandon Century.
Sunday 20 September.
1,000 riders. A grand day out.
Let’s own the Staffordshire roads one last time this year.
Enter now. Bring your group. Be part of it.
