Are you made of Stone?
RideStaffs’ Made of Stone returns for 2025 with a new route and a change of format. We’re embracing the gravel thing with a 100km route where there’s plenty of tarmac, but 25% is Made of Stone, and a bit of other forms of dirt. So expect green lanes, gravel, a bridal way or two as part of an adventurous day out on two wheels
The Venue:
For our 2025 ride we’re starting and finishing at Lymestone Brewery where we’ll be taking over the brewery to create a pop up cafe and bike shop where you’ll be able to grab a bacon sandwich and proper coffee shop coffee, then browse the bargains before heading out on the bike to mull over what you might buy when you get back!
New Made of Stone Route:
A totally redesigned route threads together a series of sectors of off road challenge on a fun filled route that joins up all points west of Stone in Staffordshire.
New Format:
Did I mention that this is a gravelish ride? This is designed to be a fun day out. No extended periods of off road plodding, but a series of sectors you can take at a your own pace. Expect the usual excellent coffee, a geat feed on the way round and well earned drink on tap at the end.
What’s included for RideStaffs’ Made of Stone?
Entry fee for RideStaffs Made of Stone includes a fully signed route on the day plus support for the ride along the way. Here’s what’s included:
At the Start:
The HQ will feature a pop up PAU Cafe and PAU bike shop, so expect to be able to lay your hands on great coffee, one off bargains and any last minute assistance you need to get your bike on the road. HQ opens at 8am, you can start your ride from 9am
Along the way:
We’ve included a half way refreshment stop on this ride. At the feed we’ll have a great spread of food and drink, plus top up snacks for the road and the opportunity for a toilet stop should you need to.
And just in case:
We’re grateful to Heart Cross Medical for first aid support on the day, they’ll be at the start, the feed and at the finish in case of any mishaps along the route.
We’ll also have Mechanical Support on the ride on the day courtesy of PAU. They’ll be on hand to sort out any last minute issues before you get on the road as well as being on call for any show stopping issues on the route.
And at the end:
Once you’re back to HQ, we’ll be waiting with the coffee machine and a range of drinks and snacks. Plus here’s where you’ll get your complimentary goodie bag as a memento of the ride.
